Beautiful Therapeutic 15-20mm Compression Hosiery

Serious Therapy for Your Legs!

The compressionrate of SKY-HIGHS™ is 15-20mm Hg.  100% of the compression is at the ankle and lower leg, where it is needed the most to boost circulation. Soon after wearing these pantyhose, you will begin to experience soothing, healthful, and improved circulation in your legs and feet. Compression level is always quoted at the ankle. Profiles of compression are measured by how much pressure is required to elevate a column of Mercury (Hg), as certain distance, as measured in millimeters (mm).

This is a medically recommended standard in the US. In Europe, the standard is slightly different, products are called out as Class I, Class II or Class III, depending on the compression level. Whether working long hours sitting or spending great lengths of time travelingon airplanes, men and women often suffer from many of the same symptoms associated with venous insufficiency.

Symptoms may include swelling around the ankles and lower legs, and a snow-like appearance in the veins, web-like veins behind the knees or ankles or varying degrees of fatigue.

DVT – DEEP VEIN THROMBOSISAND

ECONOMY CLASS SYNDROME

Compression Hosiery works hard to prevent Deep Vein Thrombosis “DVT”and Economy Class Syndrome. DVT is a serious condition, blood clots form in the major arteries, usually in the lower legor ankle area. This occurs without warning and symptoms maybe unnoticeable until the clot has traveled to the lung orbrain.

Researchers have found that compression hosiery can decrease the risk of DVT. Compression hosiery forces the surface veins back into the deeper vein network and increases the rate of blood flow forcing blood up the leg where it is needed most.

CLINICALLY PROVEN TO HELP SPIDER VEINS,SWELLING,

ADEMA AND ACHING LEGS

Genetics and gravity cause varicose veins. Nothing can be done about one’s hereditary predispositions, but it is possible to stave off the effects of gravity. Varicose veins occur when the veins are enlarged and no longer able to properly push blood from the lower leg to the upper leg. Too much blood often causes the valves in the veins to break, reducing circulation from the lower to the upperleg.

The vein walls become too thin and lose their elasticity. Wearing SKYHIGHS support compression pantyhose prevents veins from over-filling with blood, to prevent broken veins. Put on stockings as early in the morning as possible. Elevate your legs for a few minutes to empty veins of blood before putting stockings on. Avoid sun exposure and putting your legs in very hot water — excessive heat expands the veins. Vary positions during the day. Avoid tight clothing.

Get a leg massage. Eat a healthy, balanced diet to maintain proper weight; excess weight pushes against the direction of blood flow back up the legs. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables — Vitamins C and E are important in maintaining good circulation. Reduce intake of salt, which causes fluid retention.

ENSURING A PROPER FIT

Selecting hosiery that fits properly is one of the best ways to ensure maximum wear life. If your hosiery is too tight, it is more susceptible to wear and tear and it minimizes your flexibility. Most pantyhose have a chart on the back of the package that gives height and weight ranges for each size. You may have already discovered that a size A in one brand of pantyhose is not necessarily the same as a size A in another brand.

That’s because many brands use different yarns from different sources with different characteristics, and also may use different machinery and knit fabric constructions.

It’s all right to stretch the truth about your weight when talking to a friend. But, you have to be honest with yourself when buying pantyhose in order to ensure the proper fit.

If you are at the upper end of a size range, it’s often wise to get the next size for maximum fit and comfort. Larger or full-figured women should look for larger-sized products often called queen size, which are designed for them. If you have large calves go up one size.
